Gym Wipes For Improved Gym Sanitation

byAlma Abell

People normally consider a number of factors when looking for a gym to join. Other than the cost and the equipment available in the gym, no one would wish to have their fitness sessions held in places that pose risks to their health and so sanitation is one of the other factors that is considered. It is imperative that every gym have high standards of sanitation since it is a social place where people gather to do their work outs and, if there is no proper sanitation, there is a likelihood that diseases will easily spread among the members. Gym wipes are one of the effective ways of maintaining sanitation in the gym.

Maintaining the sanitation of the gym is an ongoing process. This is because most gyms operate in sessions during the day. It is important that the gym be clean at the onset of each and every session. Even though you may hire a full time cleaning crew, there are some instances when getting the crew to clean can be of great inconvenience and can cost a lot of time and money. For instance, it would be time consuming and expensive to call the cleaning crew to clean up the equipment every time a customer is through with it. This can irritate the other customers who are waiting to use the equipment because it will take some time.

Gym wipes therefore present a great alternative from constant cleaning of the equipment after every use by a customer. With such wipes readily available, it’s far easier for a customer to pick up the wipes and wipe the equipment either before or after us. This is a win for both the customer and the gym manager because there won’t be any time wasted by cleaners in cleaning the equipment and also the patron will enhance the hygiene inside the gym with the use of the wipes.

The importance of having wipes in a gym can’t be ignored. Their use lowers the risks of the members contracting some common diseases that are spread through contact. They have the ability to kill a number of viruses and bacteria that are commonly found in surfaces of shared equipment such as weights, treadmill handles, weight benches, elliptical machines, etc. These are the surfaces that are responsible for the spread of common skin infections such as MRSA, ring worms, athlete’s foot etc. Therefore, the use of gym wipes is an inexpensive method to improve the hygiene of the gym and its users while at the same time reducing the cost of hiring cleaners.

Saudis boycott Danish dairy produce

Friday, January 27, 2006

On January 26, 2006, a massive boycott of dairy produce from Arla Foods started in Saudi Arabia over what is perceived as a Danish attack on Muslim values. The Saudi ambassador to Denmark has been recalled for consultations.

The Danish/Swedish dairy company Arla is facing a massive loss after a spreading boycott of its produce in Saudi Arabia. Four Saudi retail chains have already removed Arla products from the shelves. One retail chain has placed yellow warning tape (common fare for accidents and crime scenes) over Arla products. There have been cases reported of Arla delivery trucks being attacked by stones thrown from bystanders. Marianne Castenskiold, a senior consultant for Dansk Industri, expressed a fear that the boycott will spread to other countries in the region and have detrimental effects on other Danish products. Denmark is one of the leading exporters of agriculture in northern Europe, whose economy is heavily dependent on foreign trade and investment.

The boycott has been announced at Friday prayer services in Saudi mosques since January 20, 2006, obviously helping to foment popular support of the nation’s response to Denmark’s alleged ignorance of Muslim values. On at least one occasion, a delivery truck has been greeted by thrown stones.

The boycott is a response to the publication of an article in a major Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten. In its September 30, 2005 issue, the paper printed 12 drawings of the Muslim prophet Muhammed, as a response to previous news reports that the publisher of a forthcoming childrens’ book about the prophet had had difficulty in finding an illustrator, due to fear of extremist reactions; drawings of the prophet are prohibited by Islamic Law (see aniconism). In an attempt to start a debate over freedom of speech in Denmark, the newspaper printed 12 drawings of the prophet. Four of these were of a satirical nature, with one showing the prophet with a turban hiding a lit bomb.

The immediate reactions to the publication of the drawings included ambassadors from 12 Muslim countries demanding that the Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, denounce the newspaper. Rasmussen rejected this demand, stating that “Danish freedom of speech does not allow the government to control what newspapers print”. He further noted that the only possible legal action against the newspaper would be one under the charge of blasphemy.

A debate ensued over the following months about freedom of speech and its value in relation to avoiding religious taboos. In mid-December 2005, a delegation from several Danish Muslim organizations went on a tour in several Middle-Eastern and Arabic countries, reportedly to gain sympathy for their point of view. Several reports state that during the tour the difficulties faced by Muslims in Denmark were grossly overstated.

Inspectors close Chicago landmark Healthy Food restaurant after finding dead mouse in cooler

Saturday, April 2, 2005

Chicago city inspectors closed the landmark Lithuanian restaurant Healthy Food on Thursday, after finding mouse feces on the meat slicer and cutting board, and a dead mouse in the cooler.

The restaurant has operated at 3236 S. Halsted, on the south side of the city in the Bridgeport neighborhood, since the 1930s.

Wikinews reporter David Vasquez placed a call to the restaurant to inquire if they were open. The call was answered by a woman who said, “No, we’re closed. There’s some technical difficulties. I’m sorry. Thank you for calling.” A second phone could be heard ringing in the background.

Streets and Sanitation spokesman Matt Smith told the Chicago Sun-Times, “To reopen, they’re going to have to present us with a revamped game plan for not only rodent control but also housekeeping, they’ll have to make all the corrections that our inspectors point out,” he continued, “and pass a very stringent follow-up inspection.”

Patrons have praised the restaurant’s sauerkraut soup and other dishes over the years. Before it was closed, the restaurant had a lot of traffic from the nearby Cook County Circuit Court. The restaurant was once voted “Best Ethnic Eastern European Restaurant in Chicago”, according to New City.

Is Teeth Whitening In Montclair Right For You?

byAlma Abell

Dental whitening is usually surrounded by a number of legends that detract from the procedure. It is completely false that it damages tooth enamel. The process of whitening is a safe process, if it performed properly. Teeth Whitening in Montclair can benefit a person in a number of ways, but you need to know the reasons behind the process first. Consulting with your dentist is the best way to go about this. Here are a few common questions that come across:

Is it healthy to whiten my teeth?

Like every other procedure in dental aesthetics, of course it is healthy. If it helps improve the appearance and overall health of the person, there is no reason to not undergo the process. When it comes to any cosmetic whitening process, there are pros and cons. It is a simple, relatively quick and quite affordable treatment for people.

Is the natural enamel of the teeth damaged?

Absolutely not. That’s a canard that you hear out there, but there are serious studies performed by universities and experts, all of which have many years of experience with current whitening systems. Every one of these show no damage to the teeth or gums when used correctly.

How long can a whitening treatment last?

Your new, bright smile will last only as long as how well you take care of it. This means you should not smoke, drink coffee or tea in excess, etc. If you can follow these guidelines, your white smile can easily last five to eight years. Teeth Whitening Treatments in Montclair do not vary, but the professionals who apply them do. Ensure you choose a reputable dentist who has years of experience in whitening teeth.

Is the treatments very expensive?

No, not really. The bleaching splints and clinical system are according to the type of procedure you want. Normally, your dentist will make a recommendation on the type of method one should use. In some cases, one may seek treatment when under the care of an Emergency Dentist. The price of the treatment will be around the same, nonetheless.

To find out if Teeth Whitening in Montclair is right for you, it is best to contact your local dentist or visit Littlefallsfamilydental.com and schedule a consultation as soon as possible.

Prohibition Party holds convention; nominates Jack Fellure for U.S. President

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Retired West Virginia engineer Lowell Jackson “Jack” Fellure won the presidential nomination of the Prohibition Party yesterday at the party’s National Convention in Cullman, Alabama. He won on the second ballot, defeating Thompson Township tax accessor James Hedges of Pennsylvania, who initially ran unopposed. Party Chairman Toby Davis of Mississippi received the vice presidential nomination.

The Prohibition Party is the third oldest existing political party in the United States, having been established in 1869. It reached its height of popularity during the late 19th century. As its name suggests, the party heavily supported the Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which banned the sale of alcohol, and resulted in the US period known as Prohibition (1919–33). The party has declined since the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, but has continued to nominate candidates for the presidential election.

Fellure, 79, has run for president in every election since 1988, though usually as a Republican. This run marks his first as a member of the Prohibition Party. On his campaign website, he cites the Authorized 1611 King James Bible as his presidential platform, and calls for the teaching of the Bible in public schools, criminalization of homosexuality, and the elimination of abortion, the liquor industry and pornography. On economics, he supports reducing taxes and balancing the federal budget.

While Jim [Hedges] has contributed valuable resources to this Party…his positions regarding Environmentalism and passivity toward war forced me to vote for Jack Fellure.

Hedges, the first Prohibition Party member elected to public office since 1959, announced his campaign in February 2010, and was the only candidate until last month. According to Vice Chairman June Griffin: “While Jim has contributed valuable resources to this Party…his positions regarding Environmentalism and passivity toward war forced me to vote for Jack Fellure. As well, his insistence on a moratorium on the building of nuclear plants caused much unrest among the membership. Yet he prevailed to install this plank.”

The ten voting Prohibition Party convention delegates and a few guests met for the National Convention, which began on Monday at the Holiday Inn Express in Cullman. Tuesday featured a short greeting from Cullman Mayor Max Townson, followed by addresses from Libertarian consultant Stephen P. Gordon, Ballot Access News publisher Richard Winger, and Eunie Smith of the Eagle Forum.

Gordon, who previously worked as the e-Campaign manager for the 2008 Bob Barr presidential campaign, jokingly commented that his speech “stunk”. He opened his address with the joke that “the way to pick out the libertarian at a Prohibition Party function is that I’m the one wearing the Jerry Garcia tie.” He discussed how third party candidates could utilize new media to their advantage, but avoided any ideological topics.

Winger, an expert on election law, discussed ballot access and the history of the Prohibition Party. He notably explained how the party had cost the Republicans presidential victories in the elections of 1884 and 1916, which forestalled the passage of the Eighteenth Amendment by Republicans, who wanted to do away with the alcohol issue. Gordon later commented that Winger’s speech was well-received by the audience.

After Winger’s speech, the convention broke for lunch. Afterwards, Smith, the widow of former Congressman Albert L. Smith, Jr., focused on immigration and education in her address. When asked about the Eagle Forum’s participation in the fight against alcohol, she commented that the group was focused on more pressing issues such as gambling.

After the nomination, some party members traveled to the grave of Sidney Catts in Florida. Catts, who died in 1936, was the first and only state governor elected from the Prohibition Party.

The party will now begin ballot access drives in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, New Jersey, Utah, Colorado, Tennessee and Arkansas. In 2008, the late Gene Amondson appeared on the ballot in Colorado, Florida and Louisiana and picked up a total of 653 votes.

Florida man charged with stealing Wi-Fi

Update since publication

This article mentions that Wi-Fi stands for “Wireless Fidelity”, although this is disputed.

Thursday, July 7, 2005

A Florida man is being charged with 3rd degree felony for logging into a private Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Internet access point without permission. Benjamin Smith III, 41, is set for a pre-trial hearing this month in the first case of its kind in the United States.

This kind of activity occurs frequently, but often goes undetected by the owners of these wireless access points (WAPs). Unauthorized users range from casual Web browsers, to users sending e-mails, to users involved in pornography or even illegal endeavours.

According to Richard Dinon, owner of the WAP Smith allegedly broke into, Smith was using a laptop in an automobile while parked outside Dinon’s residence.

There are many steps an owner of one of these access points can take to secure them from outside users. Dinon reportedly knew how to take these steps, but had not bothered because his “neighbors are older.”

Looking For Dump Truck Parts

Michale BadilloThe best source for the empty cartridges with print head would be the Internet. There are hundreds of companies which specialize in only identifying and buying this type of cartridges for supplying the small refill manufacturing units. But when you go and buy a new or newer car, having full coverage makes sense. Finding old junkyard parts on a new car is quite difficult and if you find the part, they are rare – hence – expensive. Now, most people have comprehension insurance because the bank or finance company requires this coverage. If you finance a car, then they make you pay for full coverage insurance. Not fair? But think about Mr. Banker for a moment. You have to carry insurance and keep the car in good shape so it can be sold in case you don’t pay for it. So if you don’t have insurance on your new Dodge Ram, and a hail storm comes and instantly depreciates out your truck by $6,000 – ouch.car junk yards You can take off that faded bumper sticker by scraping it off the glass. To do this, you may use a razor blade. But make sure that you use a razor blade only if the bumper sticker has been placed on a window. However, if the sticker has been placed on a bumper, you can try to peel it off first with your fingers. Remember, there are rubber bumper stickers and this kind is easy to peel.I have seen these in junk yards, landfills, and yard sells even antique stores for hardly anything or free. If you are going to go with the hand washing basin set up instead of the running water sink then read up on how to build my hand washing basin and just move it into the bathhouse when it is ready. The pipes will already be ran if you want a sink later. If you done it right you will have your water draining out PVC pipe from the shower and sink about 20 feet from the building.Keep them topped off with deionized water and use an electrolyte restorer. Just like a car battery, when the water level gets low it loses its ability to hold a charge. You should be able to find the restorer at car resell rights

Victoria Wyndham on Another World and another life

Thursday, December 13, 2007

Victoria Wyndham was one of the most seasoned and accomplished actresses in daytime soap opera television. She played Rachel Cory, the maven of Another World‘s fictional town, Bay City, from 1972 to 1999 when the show went off the air. Wyndham talks about how she was seen as the anchor of a show, and the political infighting to keep it on the air as NBC wanted to wrest control of the long-running soap from Procter & Gamble. Wyndham fought to keep it on the air, but eventually succumbed to the inevitable. She discusses life on the soap opera, and the seven years she spent wandering “in the woods” of Los Angeles seeking direction, now divorced from a character who had come to define her professional career. Happy, healthy and with a family she is proud of, Wyndham has found life after the death of Another World in painting and animals. Below is David Shankbone’s interview with the soap diva.
